Bapitsm/Unity of the Church

Baptism is a part of our triune witness on earth. Where we can bury the old man and rise in newness of life.

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection”

– Romans 6: 1-5

And to take on the name of the bridegroom. Water baptism displays our repentance. What must we do to be saved.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

– Romans 10:9

Salvation, water baptism, spirit baptism.

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

– 1 John 5:7

“I appeal to you, brothers and sisters,[a] in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.”

– 1 Corinthians 1:10

“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”

– Ephisians 4:3
